Re: Recently Watched Movies
It’s insane. Every time I see “recommended shows” I check the content on IMDb and I nope right on out of there.
I’m not gonna condemn anyone for watching a show I’m not comfortable with, but I’d be surprised if so many of our brothers are immune enough to lust, for example, to watch some of these shows. I know I’m not.

Hadn’t seen this one in years. Good fun. It’s a bit of a blend between horror and comedy, like Lake Placid. But while Lake Placid leaned into the comedy to the expense of suspense (IMHO), this film has more true horror.

I'm going through the Bourne movies again. I enjoy them; they're pretty clean and solid action thrillers.
I have read the books, and I am disappointed they deviated entirely from them by the 2nd movie. But I still enjoy them.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
I actually prefer the films to the books, although I did really enjoy the book version of Identity.
Re: Recently Watched Movies
Indy - Ok, but not great
Oppenheimer - Ok, but too long
MI7 - Good fun. Fast paced, as good as the others in the series.

I'll have to check this one out then. I'll make a Tubi profile shortly!
Pethead, have I mentioned Housebound to you? I just bought it on blu-ray and think you might like it if you haven't already seen it. It's a very well written and fun horror-comedy about a young woman who after a botched ATM robbery attempt is stuck at home with an ankle bracelet but begins noticing some things going bump in the night... I recommend NOT watching the trailer due to spoilers.

My wife and I have started watching I Shouldn't Be Alive on youtube. It's quite low budget but very well done: mixing people telling their stories and reenactments. The stories are pretty harrowing but amazing what some people have gone through.

Tubi is great!
I haven’t seen Housebound, but that sounds right up my alley.
Speaking of YouTube, I love listening to scary storytellers who tell purportedly true content. Mr. Nightmare is my favorite, and I’d also recommend Mr. Ballen. I’m also a big fan of Dark5 and Top5’s content, especially Dark5. This was the video that hooked me:

Also, did you ever see I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House? It was a Netflix film. It got mixed reviews and I understand why—it’s the definition of a slow burn. However, I really enjoyed it and its understated approach to horror.

If you watch Housebound, please let me know what you think! It's pretty low-budget but IMO very well done and a heck of a lot of fun.
Ooh this looks interesting indeed. I'm gonna have to check those out. Occasionally my wife and I have a few minutes after the kids go to sleep to relax and something like this would be perfect. Thanks for the recommendation.

I have not, though I just watched a trailer and it looks right up my ally. I love slow-burn flicks. If it comes out on dvd maybe I'll rent it since I don't have Netflix. Speaking of slow-burns, have you seen The Wailing? It's a Korean horror film and really stuck with me long after I saw it.

The Bob's Burgers Movie. Just as funny as the TV show (and surprisingly clean for an adult cartoon as well).

I watched M3GAN recently. It's a fun and pretty well written flick, though totally formulaic and predictable. It's still an enjoyable watch though with some good pretty comedic moments and social commentary on AI, etc. I'll watch the sequel whenever it's released.

Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning, Part I
Keeps right in line with how fantastic the franchise has been for the past several movies. There’s one thing in it that angers me, but I won’t spoil anything. Great movie and I can’t wait for part II.

Not in this movie, although in real life sometimes.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this. Maybe I'll have to take my wife out for a date this week. Thanks for the short review.

Wife and I saw Meg 2: The Trench. It’s pretty bad, although the last 20 minutes almost makes up for it.
