I hear ya. That was the director Terrence Malick's first film which I thought was very good, though I always liked his next one Days Of Heaven better. Days Of Heaven has some similar themes and feel as Badlands, but feels a bit more thought-out and mature IMO. But all of his movies are quite pretentious and stylized, so if that's not your thing, you probably won't enjoy any of his flicks. I believe he's one of the very few Christian movie directors in Hollywood, so that's cool.

Did not know Malick claimed to be a Christian. Here's a few I can name off the top of my head (mostly Catholic): Jon Woo, Abel Ferrera, Mad Mel, Brian Godawa, Robert Davi.

That's what I remember hearing, though haven't looked into whether he is or not.

AKA Endless Descent
Definitely a cheap B movie, but elevated by Ray Wise and R. Lee Ermey. Decent watch if you like this sort of thing, but Leviathan and DeepStar Six are superior.

Dark Fate is super woke to the point where Cameron was willing to kill off his hero that the series is based on to fulfill a politically correct agenda.Pethead wrote:I’m sorry. Are you ok after that???Sevenoneself wrote:Terminator Genesys

I should write a review of it, since I was forced to see it opening night, because my roommate is, I kid you not, an Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonator and Terminator is where he made his bones. But I really don't wish to revisit the pain of dealing with the death blow to the series.

Re: Recently Watched Movies
I did find it curious that they turned Connor into the villain and seemed to erase most of the original timeline, but what do I know? I'm not into movies like I am into Christian metal, so I've never read any of the backstory or surrounding info around the Terminator series.

Heck, I'd actually say Last Crusade is the best film of the series.BaleMaster wrote:Better than Raiders? That's a very high bar.
