I like it because it sounds like a proper demo from the late 80s/early 90s.  When metal had mystique and personality because of different recording circumstances.  Everything nowadays sounds the same because recording technology has been perfected and made uniform by technology, and is kind of boring as a result.

I agree with a lot of this.

To me, most modern metal production is grating and not "perfect".

Vocals are monotone but a lot of potential musically. Vocals need work though.
