I haven't seen much speculation on who the new vocalist will be. Here's my speculation:
The more I think about this, the more I think it could be Nick Villars. This guy was/is virtually unknown, so why did Ted have him do vocals on 3 songs from Onward to Freedom? Seems like he was trying to slowly introduce this guy to Tourniquet fans. While his vocals were cool on those songs, I can't really picture him taking over lead vocal duties.
The other guy I think it could be is Eli Prinsen. Haven't heard anything about him since he left Sacred Warrior last year. While his style with The Sacrificed and Sacred Warrior doesn't match Tourniquet's music, I could see him adjusting to a more thrash-like style and bringing a new twist to the band.

Of course my preference would be to reunite the original lineup or have Luke back. But I don't see either one ever happening. Although I haven't seen Ted deny any requests or speculation that Guy may come back though.

Tourniquet is a solo project that no longer tours, but if he gets a guy like Eli that would peak my interest..

I can't tell if Jason Robison is the permanent vocalist or just doing it for this Mexico show. I did see that Jason posted this comment on his own Facebook page:

That makes me think that it might be permanent.

Just saw the news. I usually try to keep an open mind, but to me the guy does not sound like a fit with the music of Tourniquet. May be able to do some of the old Guy Ritter-like screams, but I have not heard anything from Seraphine or Wrath of Typhon where he actually sings.

No, but that is one of the main things (imo) that have set them apart and made them interesting. Melody + Technicality + Aggression. Both Luke and Guy sang in addition to the screaming and low guttural vocals. I'm not really interested in my favorite band of all time having vocals that sound like every other metalcore or Gothenburg-like death/black metal band. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised.

That song with the Monkey still comes to mind and still slightly frightens me

I'll wait and see but i'm guessing more in the direction of Onward and I only enjoy about three songs off that.

That Seraphine clip had me a bit worried at first, but then I checked out his other band Wrath of Typhon.





I think he actually might have what it takes to sing the Stop the Bleeding material after all.
But I can't shake away the thought that Ted probably is mainly interested in him for his style he uses in Seraphine.

Reminds me of Luke Easter a bit but with extra "roughness" in his voice.

He might be the best choice to cover both the Guy and the Luke era. The only thing I'm worried about anymore is whether he will sound too "metalcore" with his shouting vocals on Tourniquet. But at least after checking out Wrath of Typhon I'm certainly interested in hearing him in Tourniquet.

So I guess he might not be on the new record, or maybe Ted's undecided and wants to see how the gig in Mexico goes.

That Wrath of Typhon clip actually reminds me of Live to Die-era Bride a little bit.

I havn´t heard of this band.    IF HE is the new vocalist it is exactly
what I was looking for since Pathogenic.

Although his voice is screaming here the atmosphere is dark and aggressive.

I know that it is very hard to find an outstanding vocalist for your band.

I am definitely the Guy Ritter and Gary Lenaire fan
but I have given up the reunion thing over the years.

Guy, Gary and Luke are the past.
Maybe Jason is the future.

There's no melody in his voice at all on that song.

Finding a great metal singer in 2017 who is willing to work hard for nothing is far from easy.
