The Blimey Cow guy has some good comedic ability, but to me that vid comes off as much more condescending and demeaning than good-natured and fun.

I am curious why you feel this way. As long as you take " Onward " in the sense that the author meant it ( 2 Cor 10, Ephesians 6 ) I see no biblical problem with it. Sure, it certainly could be used as a theme song for a modern form of the Crusades, but that was not the authors intention I believe. As for " Rugged Cross " I would like to read your biblical take on that song.
