Mine is 12. A Jack Russell. He's fine but slowing down a bit. I've never had a dog with a stroke but it does happen. If I were you I would take the dog to the vet.

Here's mine but this was taken around 10 years ago. He looks the same but the brown on his face has turned white.

Really all you can do is love him and take care of him, even with people there's a limited time frame from the onset of stroke for intervention and it depends on the type of stroke- you can have a clot or a blood vessel that breaks open and bleeds in there. I don't know what's available for dogs but for people it's very time sensitive and beyond that you're looking at dealing with the full effects of the stroke and whatever you can do to rehab it. I don't know if this helps but just be there for him.

I have a 3 yr old yellow lab with epilepsy. She does good but has seizures every now and then.

I've heard about dogs having seizures. They say changing the dogs diet to natural organic foods helps.

My brother had a black lab that had problems with seizures. Unfortunately I think labrador's are prone to seizures.

Very sorry to hear about the loss of your best friend.  There are 9 pets in our home, so as you can imagine furry friends are very close to my heart.
