This was a shocker to me toady. I didn't like all of Bowie's stuff, but I respect him for being able to change styles so often, and do it so well.

I dont like classical music..in fact i am not a fan of most classically influenced metal either...the whole malmsteen/blackmore thing doesn't do much for me at all...

David Bowie..a legend...huge impact on fashion, music and multiple musical genres...the gave who gave Stevie ray Vaughn a break.....the guy who pushed the boundaries and reinvented himself over and over...

Anyone who knows me knows how much of a complete diehard fanboy I am of David Bowie. I am sad he is no more. I just ordered his latest album, which I guess is as good as a goodbye to his fans. He also gave Luther Vandross a start too during the Young Americans era. He was an Icon and ahead of his time. I am also upset that in the last 40 something days 2 of my top 3 musical heros have died.

Donna Douglas was a Christian--she spoke at churches and such about her testimony as she got older. Praise!

Rickman was one of my favorite actors.  I loved him in pretty much everything I saw him do.  If you haven't seen "Closet Land" do yourself a favor and watch it.  It is rather dark, but he is fantastic in the Orwellian film.

Snape is dead now too? Oh my goodness. This has been a hard week.

Snape was one of my favorite characters. Harry Potter is one of my favorite movie series. I own them all and we (my kids and I) have a Harry Potter marathon about once a year or so. Kids are going to be sad when I tell em.
