What a great role model when a potentially fatal disease tried to take him (and his wife) down.

Sacred Reich's founding guitarist Jason Rainey has died from an apparent heart attack, according to his former bandmates. He was 53-years-old.
Rainey was a member of the band from their founding until 2019. The band broke the sad news to fans with the following message, "It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we must announce that our friend, guitarist and founding member of Sacred Reich, Jason Rainey has passed away.
"Jason started the band after only playing guitar for six months. With sheer determination and will, he lead us through the early years of the band. He worked tirelessly. Sacred Reich was his life.
"In recent years he faced some serious medical issues. He ultimately succembed to a heart attack on Monday, March 16. He was 53 years old.
"Jason, we wish you peace and love."

"Curly" Neal, whose flashy dribbling skills and smile made him a Harlem Globetrotters legend, has died at 77, according to the team.
Neal died at his home near Houston.
Between 1963 and 1985, the bald-headed Neal was widely known for his stylish ball-handling and crowd-dazzling moves on the court.
"We have lost one of the most genuine human beings the world has ever known," said Globetrotters general manager Jeff Munn said. "His basketball skill was unrivaled by most, and his warm heart and huge smile brought joy to families worldwide. He always made time for his many fans and inspired millions."



Neal played in more than 6,000 games over 22 years for the Globetrotters while making numerous television appearances, ranging from the "Ed Sullivan Show" to "Scooby-Doo."
His number 22 was retired by the team in 2008 as he became the fifth player to receive this honor. Wilt Chamberlain, Marques Haynes, Meadowlark Lemon and Goose Tatum were the others.

The Globetrotters were hilarious.  They could easily make fools out of most NBA teams just by their unpredictable trick shots.  They definitely combed the world for the best players they could find.

Original Riot guitarist Lou A. Kouvaris - who appeared on the first Riot album Rock City (1977) and wote songs for Narita (1979) - has passed away from Coronavirus (COVID-19). Riot's manager Giles Lavery says he developed symptoms over a week ago. He was 66 and passed away at his home in Long Island, New York. BraveWords offers condolences to Lou's family, friends and fans.

CBS News producer and talent executive Maria Mercader died of Covid-19 in New York Sunday, CBS said. She was 54.
Mercader worked at CBS for three decades, getting her start in the network's page program, CBS said in a release.

Ellis Marsalis Jr., a New Orleans jazz legend, educator and father of four musical sons died on Wednesday, Ellis Marsalis Center for Music Director Emeritus Quint Davis said. He was 85.
The cause of death was complications of Covid-19, his son Branford Marsalis told the New York Times.
"Ellis Marsalis was a legend. He was the prototype of what we mean when we talk about New Orleans jazz," New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell said in a statement Wednesday night. "He was a teacher, a father, and an icon -- and words aren't sufficient to describe the art, the joy and the wonder he showed the world."

Fountains of Wayne star Adam Schlesinger died on Wednesday (April 1st) after being hospitalized for the Covid-19 coronavirus. He was 52-years-old.
Adam's death was confirmed by his attorney Josh Grier to Rolling Stone.
