Encouraging albums?
I mentioned this is another thread, but a big one for me is Angelica’s Walkin’ in Faith. (Actually, most of Angelica I find really encouraging).

Re: Encouraging albums?
A lot of WhiteHeart’s stuff has encouraged me.
When I was a new believer I got really into ska, so Five Iron Frenzy and The Supertones were huge blessings to me. (The less said about Reese from FIF’s more recent theological turns, the better).

I wish they'd record live drum tracks for this album and Remix it. The songs, lyrics and arrangements are worth it.

Re: Encouraging albums?
In my old life one of my favorite bands was the German power metal band Rage. One of my favorite songs was Frozen Fire. In some ways it was symbolic of my life before Christ and made sense when God changed my life that what could have been was finally set free.Pro-Zak wrote:Where did you get your username from?Frozen Fire wrote:Almost all Christian Liljigren's material but most specifically Audiovision "Focus." Re: Encouraging albums?
It is so weird to look at the lyrics of a song that you heard as kid on the radio but never lyrically paid attention to. Looked up the lyrics to that Cars song.Pro-Zak wrote:Thought it was from a Cars song...."He's a Frozen Fire, with his godly desires!"
Dokken and Axel Rudi Pell (w/ Rob Rock on vocals) have songs about underage girls also. Those would go in Least Encouraging Songs.

I also agree that most of the catalogs of Petra, White Heart and Theocracy fit the bill.
