Ranking Metal Sub-Genres.

Here's a video that perfectly shows the difference between easycore and the other cores. 

The only reason it's called easycore is because a bunch of big punk bands(Sum41 I think, New Found Glory and others) went on a tour and called it Easycore.

Well I’m not a fan of metalcore or pop punk (except for a couple of Relient K songs), so I don’t imagine i’d like them combined either. Grunge is worse than either one though

I like some pop-punk, but that’s probably due to nostalgia as much as anything.

So easy core is pop with hats on backwards? Yeah, I hate it and it's not punk.

I'm not a punk or pop punk guy either but I love easycore. When it's done right.

I did in my teen years because I thought I was cool. 

I wear caps now to hide my hair loss.

Having grown up with punk, I don't hear any punk in most these bands. Meh, whatevs.

I like some grunge, like Pearl Jam. Nirvana's way overrated, not bad just not as good as people say.

I also like Crawl to China even if it's TQT's worst album, and when PFR gets heavier (ex. Daddy Never Cries) I think they lean towards grunge.

Nirvana is probably my top pick for the most overrated band of all time. The only song I’ve ever heard by them that I didn’t actively despise was a cover of a David Bowie song. Besides their lyrics are some of the stupidest I’ve ever heard, sounding like random stream of consciousness or drug-addled ramblings (I know Dustofyears will take exception to this but I stand by my opinion)

I'd take Nirvana over Foo Fighters any day of the week.

Opposite for me. While most of their music I’ve heard sucks, there have been a couple I actually thought were decent (like All My Life and The Pretender). That’s more than I can say for Nirvana

I like a lot of power-pop bands, but never could get into much pop-punk. Some of it's ok I guess, but most of it is too teeny-bopper spastic for me.

...which is my least favorite genre in the entire hard/heavy music spectrum.
