I've always loved that one. Never understood the hate it gets. Same with Testament's Souls of Black.
In fact, Souls of Black is my favorite Testament album.

I don’t think SoE is all that inferior to AtL. I’d probably put AtL above it, but I actually like all of SoE more than Imitation of Life, which I think is one of Anthrax’s weakest songs from their classic era.

I’d pick SoE as the most underrated 80s big 4 album.
I’d pick Reign in Blood as the most overrated by a LARGE margin. (Yes, I know it was incredibly influential. So was smallpox).

Fave Bush...Volume 8/Sound Of White Noise (tie...impossible to choose)
Anthrax has always been top 3 for me in thrash bands, behind Testament and Metal Church (if you consider them thrash), and just ahead of Megadeth and Metallica.

Stomp 442 is easily the worst. Every single song is forgettable from start to finish.
My favorites are Fistful of Metal, Spreading the Disease and Among the Living.
Fistful of Metal is one of my favorite debut albums ever.
I think State of Euphoria is pretty terrible and Persistence of Time isn't much better.
Out of the new albums Worship Music is pretty good.

I think Deth was best in the 90s, because they wrote more memorable songs. Outside of RiP, when they get real thrashy, they often descend into guitar noodling with riffs that don’t excite me.
I did really like The System Has Failed and United Abominations. I’ve liked selected songs since then.
But RiP is one of the greatest albums ever made.

Death Magnetic? The System Has Failed? United Abominations?
