Favorite and least favorite Testament albums

Inspired by Pethead's Anthrax topic:

What are your favorite and least favorite Testament albums?

Souls Of Black

Least:
either Demonic or Brotherhood Of The Snake 

Personally I don't think they've made a really bad one. Some I just like more than others. One of my all-time favorite bands!

Favorite: The Legacy

Not sure about least favorite. I like most of their catalog.

Absolutely. My second favorite thrash debut. Behind Stop the Bleeding and ahead of Alice in Hell.

Favorite: Practice What You Preach and The Formation of Damnation but I like them all. And they have done some of the best thrash ballads of all time

Least Favorite?   Not sure, haven't heard them all.
Of the ones I've heard I would say "Demonic" was clearly the worst.

Favorite - Practice What You Preach
Least Favorite - Demonic

Practice What You Preach would be my favorite. When they left that melodic sound, I lost interest.

Testament is my favorite secular thrash band. They got everything I need in a heavy band… powerful vocals, tasteful solos and great riffs. They have dark lyrical content, but without crossing the line.

My top 5 Testament list would consist of the first 5 albums.

1. Souls Of Black
2. Practice What You Preach
3. The Legacy
4. The New Order
5. The Ritual

Dark Roots of Earth and Brotherhood of the Snake are my two main favorites.
As for least favorite I don't know if I can name one... though I'm less likely to listen to their early albums. I like Thrash but I think they evolved beyond basic Thrash and it suits them more ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

As I've stated before, my favs are the first 5 albums with the "classic" lineup. 

I think my favorite post-classic era album is The Formation Of Damnation. They did a really good job of blending the more melodic classic sound with the more extreme elements. The Gathering is probably my second favorite from the post-classic era, as it does a really good job of that as well (although not as melodic).

Formation was a great album. The Gathering is great as well, but when I want to hear Testament I tend to go for their melodic stuff. I’m a sucker for melodic thrash.

Favorite secular thrash band ever....easily...

Fave...either Low or Practice What You Preach, although the New Order is amazing.

Least...hard to say.  Probably Souls Of Black, but I even like that one!  Its the one I probably listen to the least, however.

You should check out the newer stuff, it's good.

From what I've heard, I'd say Practice, but I only know 4 songs (I do plan on hearing more, as I really like them though)
