I have seen a lot of folks talk about them in high regard over the years, but after looking them up on YouTube and listening, I think they are a little too soft for me. They remind me a lot of Halo.

But.....

I saw the news in my e-mail this morning.  I have the second two on cassette and enjoy Hard Hitter more than than Urgency (mostly because it is heavier).  I think I've heard some tracks from the debut (but never owned it).  I remember thinking it was too light for my tastes....so I might just pick up the second two on CD, not sure yet.

"Hard Hitter" is a very good album.   Definitely heavier than anything from Halo.  
It still has a few ballads but overall it's heavier and has more of a groove than the other Liason albums.  

Their better songs do have good hooks. If you can appreciate bands like Idle Cure, Jag, Nouveaux, and the 2nd album by The Brave, this one is in that vein. Which means not quite metal, but enough hard-hitting, tasty riffs and just enough crunch to satisfy when you're not quite in a full-on "metal" mood. Well-produced and classy AOR / Hard Rock and recommended. Check out sound samples on You Tube or Spotify to see if you like it.

Listened to some songs off of Hard Hitter. I may pick it up. Definitely a solid hard rock sound there. Seems like some good songs. Never heard of this band before.

I have originals of the last two and will probably keep those.  I may just keep the Amazon disc-on-demand copy of their debut as well.
