Re: Top 10 Albuns Of The Year (2019)
I only have 4 this year:
1. MICHAEL SWEET: Ten
2. SAINT: The Calf - I don't have this yet but I heard the songs online and they sound really good. This one may rival their best work since 2004 like Hell Blade and The Revelation-Mark.
3. Angelica: Without Words - I have this but haven't listened to i yet. I heard some of it online. Most everything Dennis puts out is top quality melodic hard rock.
4. Fear Not: For the Wounded Heart - This is a much more soulful album than Goodbye Lady Jane and the Fear Not self titled albums.

How is the new Saint considered a 20/20 release when we got it in 2019...?

They shipped the pre-orders in 2019, but the official release date wasn't until January of 2020.

Saint: The Calf ( I consider this a 2019 release since I got it 12/27/19)
Signum Regis: The Seal of a New World

Diviner: Realms Of Time
Worthy Albums to consider:
Darkhorse Hero: Darkhorse Hero

Re: Top 10 Albuns Of The Year (2019)
Of all albums I bought this year, top 10 first:
1 - ShadowStrike - Legends of Human Spirit
2 - Turilli/Lione Rhapsody - Zero Gravity: Rebirth and Evolution
3 - Freedom Call - M.E.T.A.L.
4 - Wind Rose - Wintersaga
5 - Neal Morse Band - The Great Adventure
6 - Gloryhammer - Legends from Beyond the Galactic Terrorvortex
7 - Wilderun - Veil of Imagination
8 - Twilight Force - Dawn of the Dragonstar
9 - Neal Morse - Jesus Christ: The Exorcist
10 - Arcane Tales - Power of the Sky
The albums after that:
11 - Sabaton - The Great War
12 - Avantasia - Moonglow
13 - Blind Guardian's Twilight Orchestra - Legacy of the Dark Lands
14 - Beast in Black - From Hell With Love
15 - Rhapsody of Fire - The Eighth Mountain
This one I bought but put it on the "get rid of it" pile, because it was so underwhelming:
16 - Warrior Path - Warrior Path
A lot of albums, really. And overwhelmingly power metal. I'm planning on being more selective in my CD buying, and I'll see if I can make a more diverse list in terms of genre/subgenre. Forced diversity, always a great idea.

My early candidates for new releases are:
Fearless - Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom
Wow, why is this band not signed yet? Thanks for mentioning them!
@Andreas89
Have you listened to that Fearless album already?

Yes I have, really good. I only consider albums that are released physically though, otherwise it might have been in my top 3.

Oops, I just found a link in my favorites leading to a thread about the Fearless album - started by you
Obviously I wanted to come back to it to check Fearless out...

Re: Top 10 Albuns Of The Year (2019)
I think there should be 2 separate lists for top albums of 2019:
1. New albums with all new material.
3. Reissues of older albums with the original songs and/or bonus tracks. One would base the ranking on the improvement of sound, packaging and how much you like the song overall. I bought several of these reissues this year and I have some on order.
Any thoughts?
