If I know it's a cover, how do I forget? Hendrix version of Watchtower I like better but I don't forget it's a cover. Guess I don't get the premise.

How did you not know Whiskey in the Jar is a cover? Only about a gazillion versions of it out there.   
No one's listed Sanctuary by Deliverance or their version of On the Fritz.

Simply have never heard another version of it.

So obviously has never been done by a band I listen to.

I always liked Radar Love by White Lion. I also liked Great White's Babe I'm going to leave you.

I have way too much music in my head to forget they are covers, but I find these better than the original versions.
