WASP "The Real Me"
Van Halen "Pretty Woman"
DLR "California Girls"
DLR "Tobacco Road"
Motley Crue "Smoking In The Boys Room"
Bob Seger "Fortunate Son"
All much better than the original

It was years later when I got into the Beach Boys music that I even knew this was a cover. DLR owns that song now.Bought4Life wrote:

And you saying that reminds me of another DLR tune, one that I didn't know existed prior...
So adding to my list...
DLR "Just A Gigalo"

Personally, I don't think the Disturbed version doesn't even come close to the original S&G version. But maybe that's just me...

If I know it's a cover, how do I forget? Hendrix version of Watchtower I like better but I don't forget it's a cover. Guess I don't get the premise.

How did you not know Whiskey in the Jar is a cover? Only about a gazillion versions of it out there.
No one's listed Sanctuary by Deliverance or their version of On the Fritz.

Simply have never heard another version of it.
So obviously has never been done by a band I listen to.

I have way too much music in my head to forget they are covers, but I find these better than the original versions.
