Albums Tied for Greatness
What sets of albums are about tied for greatness (and make fun debates here) in your minds?
For me:
Bride - Snakes in the Playground and Scarecrow Messiah (the inspiration for this thread).
Theocracy - Mirror of Souls and As the World Bleeds
Deliverance - Self-titled and Weapons of Our Warfare
Holy Soldier - Self-titled and Last Train
Living Sacrifice - Reborn and The Hammering Process
With all of those I can pick a favorite but the difference is very narrow and often based on nostalgia more than musical or lyrical superiority. What others are comparable like these?

Agree about Holy Soldier and almost agree about Deliverance (Weapons holds a much dearer place in my heart). Would narrowly choose Last Train for the more mature song-writing.
Betrayal - Renaissance by Death and The Passing
Tourniquet - Stop the Bleeding and Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance (sorry Psycho fans)
Slechtvalk - At the Dawn of War and A Forlorn Throne
In the above three I'd still choose the first album as in all cases that's what I heard first, which makes it stick. Objectively Forlorn Throne is better than Dawn of War, but Dawn of War has several songs that just get to me.

MATW - Boomerang and Through The Forest
While others would disagree, for me would also be:
Whitecross - Triumphant Return and In The Kingdome
Both Ransom records
Both the Legend & Legend 7 album
Petra - Beyond Belief & Unseen Power
Deliverance - Stay Of Execution and Learn
