Stryper

I don't have the ability to put an MP3 player in my truck, so I make CDs of my favorite albums or compilations of favorite songs. I've made comps of "old" Stryper and "modern" Stryper in recent years because I thought that the new and the old wouldn't sound right if mixed together. I decided last night to screw it, and I made a comp CD of my favorite Stryper tracks:

3. The Way

7. Water Into Wine
8. Can't Stop The Rock
9. Sympathy
10. Murder By Pride
11. Shining Star
12. The Calling

17. (Waiting For) A Love That's Real
18. Blackened
19. Loving You
20. To Hell With The Devil

Listening through my comp CD, this absolutely smokes! The old and new songs sound great together! It's actually a fairly cohesive collection. Would that it were a set list for a concert! But the band doesn't seem to play a bunch of these songs. I especially would love to hear Can't Stop The Rock live. That is such an overlooked, but awesome metal song.

There's one problem with this list - there's only 20 songs. Stryper has a lot more great songs than this - Callong on You, More Than a Man, Two Time Woman, etc.
