Stryper in Oz

Stryper are coming down here to Australia in August ans we have tickets already (looks like the whole tour will be sold out) and was wondering at what stage of a show do they throw bibles into the crowd? Do the do it at the end of the concert, do it half way through or different times during their set? Gonna be a top night. Cheers.

I am from Adelaide too. They are playing at the Gov... If it's sold out I hope they move it to a bigger venue. The Gov is smaller than when they played here in the 80s - at Thebarton Theatre.  Personally I think they deserve the Adelaide Entertainment Centre,but that won't happen.

Yeah... For sure meet up. I know about 5 others who are going.  I'm not going to the Meet and Greet. How much does that cost?

Going by their web page nearly $90 US. We are gonna skip it too, rather then do that we got 2 tickets so my wife can go. A night with no kids and good tunes will be great.

Hadn't realized I'd never seen them with my wife until this year. She always liked the music but she was hugely impressed with them live. They crushed this time out. Best I've ever heard them sound. Apparently this is a date night for the future! After the show it was interesting to hear her realization that Stryper really isn't a hair band, that they're much heavier than the average and definitely more metal.

All that to say, have a blast!

Got my ticket for Brisbane, after seeing them in NY back in May I can't wait to see them again, as far as I know there are no VIP meet and greet tix on the Australian tour, but I could be wrong

btw they are definitely playing a lot of crap holes on this tour not one decent venue

where they are playing here holds 500+. Good venue as far as getting close to the stage.

Stryper shows will go ahead but without Oz Fox.

I don't think I'll be going to the Adelaide show now.
If anyone is interested I can sell a single ticket for $75.
Ticker is worth $86.

Not sure if I would want to see them play without Oz as their live show is built on dual guitars. As it happens I already had tickets for Bob Dylan when their shows were announced so could not go. Part of me still wishes I could be in two places at once.

It is definitely a tough call for Michael Sweet to make and I can understand why they need to fulfil the dates with them being so close. 

Hope all is well with Oz and he makes a full recovery.

Its going to be interesting, they may need to change up the setlist as well, I am happy I got to see the full band in NY and this could either be really good or really bad

They should definitely find a replacement for Oz while he's recovering. Tony Palacios would be an excellent replacement.

agreed but I doubt he would have been able to get the visa's etc in time to make the trip

Great vids and looks like the guys put in a big effort. MS is the ultimate professional. How hard would it be though? 

Oz means so much to this band and his absence really shows.
