Upheaval - (Obscure Death Metal?)

Hey guys, I was researching around and found this band, partially because their vocalist went on to be the front man of metalcore band Haste The Day.....................

What do ya guys think?

Its pretty rough......production wise, but what do you think of it? is it death metal?

Reminds me very much of that 90's christian hardcore sound there where a few bands with a similar sound cant remember the names im sure you know the ones I mean.

Do you mean Blessed By A Broken Heart?

Probably referencing The Blamed, Focused, sixfeetdeep, and Zao.  The EARLY solidstate records stuff......that second one sounds a lot like mid period Living Sacrifice to my ears.
