Any fans of Accept in this place?
One of my all-time favorite bands is Accept. They've been putting out albums since 1979. Even with changing lead singers, they consistently put out some of my favorite music. Here's 2 examples, one from 2010 and one from 1985.

Blind Rage and Blood of the Nations are 2 albums I simply cannot listen to enough. Just amazing stuff. I also really like Metal Heart. Give Restless and Wild a shot, if you find the time.

I love Accept, but not enough (yet) I think. I own Restless and Wild, Balls to the Wall, Metal Heart, Blood of the Nations and Stalingrad. Balls to the Wall and Stalingrad are my favourites from the old and new era, respectively. But the second song you posted, I love that one!
Still keeping an eye open for Breaker and Blind Rage.

Re: Any fans of Accept in this place?
I kinda ignored the band after Udo left. I just couldn't imagine them without him. When I found out that Mark Tornillo had joined the band, I became interested again (I was a TT Quick fan back in the day). I was sold instantly on Blood of the Nations, so I'm back onboard.

Have you listened to the stuff from his band U.D.O. since his Accept departure? While I'm much more into Accept, U.D.O.'s album Mastercutor blows me away. Check it out, if you haven't already.

I have Animal House and Faceless World. I don't think I have any of the other Udo albums.

Love Accept..I seen them live on the Metal Heart tour with Krokus...Very cool!! I love their classic albums...If ya get a chance though check out the album "Deathrow"..very good album..some of the coolest guitar work I ever heard them do..I also think the Russian Roulette album was really good...seems like that album is forgotten sometimes..

I loved their older stuff (with the exception of their very first self-titled album....never could get into that one). Lost track of them after UDO left, heard one of the reunion albums he did with the band and was not impressed.
My favorite album (easily) is Restless & Wild.

They stand on a tank, I'd also pay less attention to my guitar playing.

I'm in the minority, I know, but I cannot stand Udo's vocals. The man can't sing at all. I mean it - AT ALL. I can't understand the love for the band with his screeching. The music is pretty awesome; I will say that. And that track above with TT Quick is better than any Accept tune with Udo on the mic. I might check out Blood of the Nations.

Actually I think Mark Tornillo is better for Accept than Udo was. Sure the older albums are classics but Mark suits the modern era so much better.
Re: Any fans of Accept in this place?
Heh, perfectly understandable His voice certainly is an aquired taste, I had some trouble getting used to it too. But I prefer Tornillo's vocals.Follower of Jesus wrote:I'm in the minority, I know, but I cannot stand Udo's vocals. The man can't sing at all. I mean it - AT ALL. It's funny I recognized immediately when I heard the Restless & Wild album that UDO was not your typical melodic or even powerhouse type vocalist, but he has this certain charisma that just injects the music with a serious amount of attitude that just hooks me in (don't know how else to explain it). What's funny is that pretty much the same way you described UDO is the way I feel about Vince Neil, he always seemed like a very one-dimensional singer with very little range or real talent. I dug those first few Crue records but always thought Vince was easily the weakest link in the band.

I LOVE Accept! One of my favorite classic metal bands. Restless and Wild, Balls to the Wall, Blood of the Nations, and Stalingrad are all excellent.
Re: Any fans of Accept in this place?
Time to bump this thread. Accept's new album, Rise of Chaos, will be released on August 4. From what I've heard, it sounds like it will be a good one.

I'll give you that Vince Neil can be a bit one-sided. However, he has one of the most perfect sleezy voices in the business and that served the Crue quite well. Sometimes, I feel that he was held back a little by the image. I actually like his performance on his solo stuff better as he added more gravel to his tone. It was still sleezy, but it was more powerful. Also, he could actually hit his notes with or without having to scream.
I will have to agree with FoJ about Udo. I've heard some of their old songs on Ozzy's Boneyard and Udo's voice just grates on my nerves. It sounds like a screeching cat being electrocuted by his testicles to me. The newer voice works where he stays in his lower register quite a bit. What is weird is that I loved some of Accept's albums back in the day. That may have been more to annoy the daylights out of my parents, though.

Accept with Tornillo has been awesome, expect the same from the new album.
