Well, I figured that would play into it. He's been gone a few years now. Are they still running everything the same way?
Re: VENEZUELAN SITUATION
Worst than how CHavez ran things.
These guys hasn't have a clue how to run a country.
The times we are facing are the worst in our history.

We'll send Trump over there. He'll make "Venezuela Great Again!"

He doesn't like Latinos so I don't see how that'll work lol
On the other hand, that was similar to what Chavez offered and now we are in the hole.

Re: VENEZUELAN SITUATION
I'm laughing at the Trump joke, but now back to your topic.
I'm so sorry your country is in this shape! I had no idea it was so bad. Is it a third world country? I was thinking it was a second world country, like Mexico. But I guess it's worse off than I thought.
What it needs ... honestly ... is for many people to pray for it! To pray for it's peace. It's prosperity and it's recovery. I will be one of those to start doing this! Each day I try to set aside some time to pray. I will indeed pray for Venezuala and be praying for you too brother!!! Hang in there!!! Keep faith burning in your heart!!!

I appreciate it brother. Yes we haven't ceased praying for our country.
There are many factors that led us to our current state, socialism is evil, don't let anyone tell you differently.
Las year alone 27540 citizens were murdered, Caracas is currently the most dangerous city in the world, my hometown is number 8 and we have 8 cities in the top 50 most dangerous cities in the world.

Re: VENEZUELAN SITUATION
Democratic Socialism is WAY different from regular Socialism. Bernie has a good heart. He wants to help our country.

Besides ... why does Socialism work so well in Australia, Norway, Sweden, and Canada? Huh? Because it's DEMOCRATIC Socialism. Big difference.
Socialism gone to an extreme is Communism, that's not good.

The stats I've seen put it at number 2, but still. 116 yearly murders for every 100,000 people is crazy high.
Looks like Honduras, Venezuela and Brazil need help and prayer by the metric ton!
Please don't take this the wrong way DV, but I'm so glad to live in the USA, its warts and all.

Re: VENEZUELAN SITUATION
Please let's keep this thread for the Venezuelan situation only, comparisons are OK, but if you want to talk about other countries start your own thread LOL

Thomas most recent study puts Caracas in 1st place, something I am not proud of

Re: VENEZUELAN SITUATION
Just curious Darth..have you ever considered taking your family and leaving Venezuela? Going to another country close by or even the states or europe?

I'd also like to point out that those countries have much smaller populations than the United States. We have to spend a lot of money on our military because we're basically the protector of the West. The benefits of socialism might seem great but I honestly don't think our country could handle it.RavenWolf wrote:Besides ... why does Socialism work so well in Australia, Norway, Sweden, and Canada? Re: VENEZUELAN SITUATION
It surely have been a thought lately Savage, we (my wife and I) have discussed it from time to time. We just haven't made a decision.
First option would be Colombia as it is closer to us and we don't need much papers to do it.
Another option would be the States but for that we need VISAS and the US embassy is not giving them as easier as in the past.
Maybe one day we will be knocking at your door.

Re: VENEZUELAN SITUATION
Your right..The USA is not handing out visa's like they used to and it is the subject that has moved past debate into a huge fight and argument.. I hate to say it but alot of American citizens dont want anymore immigrants in our country and want to deport alot that are already here...especially if they are middle eastern or anywhere south of the US border...America isn't exactly on that friendly of terms with Venezuela anyway..and now with the Zika virus being so prevalent in your country that just adds to it...none the less you are always welcome in my homeIt surely have been a thought lately Savage, we (my wife and I) have discussed it from time to time. I understand what you are saying. I've thought a lot about it. But in the end ... we don't really know if it would work or not, until we try it!
For the record, I am NOT a Socialist, but I'm a Libertarian and I do lean left. I'm just thinking of ways to help our country - and many people are thinking that Democratic Socialism might be a step in the right direction for us.
Now the situation in Venezula is very different from ours in the USA. They've had a dictator literally running their country. The USA is set up in such a way that that could not happen.
I truly wish we would get a Libertarian president, but it seems like people in my country are not wanting that.
So when I look at all options ... Bernie Sanders (to me personally), seems like the best option for where we are now at this dark point in time.
Maybe to at least steer our country in a better direction.
DV, sorry - I don't mean to invade your thread talking about my country! But you've brought up a good point about each of our countries and the government thereof.
Back to subject ... I'll keep praying for Venezuala! And for you my friend!
