Please pray for me...

Wow, when even the bugs won't go near you...  That's some serious stuff!  I had no idea chemo was so potent that it could affect your sweaty clothes!  And to think that's getting put into your body...    How are you holding up otherwise?

Man, I really feel like crap today. Just really bluh all over.
I've got 3 different nausea medicines (a chewable, a prescription and God's green) and I'm having to use all 3 to keep from calling dinosaurs. (calling dinosaurs = slang for throwing up)

Slept 6 hours last night. Woke up at 8am and by noon, I was extremely tired and slept 4 more hours.
At least that freakin' needle is out of my chest now and won't have to get put back in until the 25th of July.

I felt a little better today. I walked for 15 minutes this morning and ate 2 cans of sardines. Wanna know what I did after that?

I slept until 4pm.

Geez...

Your body has been through the ringer.  I don't think it's any surprise that it needs lots of time recuperating from all that it's been through.

I'm in the emergency room. I can't keep anything down and am having severe stomach pains. Please pray for me.

I have a partial bowel obstruction, at the sight where my ostomy was reversed. My team of doctors is trying to decide,

1) pump me full of fluids and maybe it will work itself out.
2) Shovel a tube down my throat that decompressed my stomach and moves things along
3) Endoscopy. They'd put my in twilight and scope the back door and try to knock it loose.
4) Cut me open to remove the obstruction

EDIT: Looks like #2 is what they're starting with.

Oh my God that tube is f.ucking hell. I feel it every time I swallow and my nose is bleeding.

Lord, please carry me through this.

I'm out of the hospital now. I wasn't the best patient - I'll spare the details, but its good to be free.
(Being in the hospital does remind me of being in a very clean jail.)

Always are, even if it doesn't get posted here as often as it used to.  Try to check this daily, even if the rest of the place only gets a drive by....

I appreciate it.  My next chemo infusion starts next Tuesday so...  I feel like I barely get out of the woods from being in the hospital until they start the poison again.

For the past 10 hours, I've been having bowel obstruction symptoms again. (Intense stomach pangs and vomiting)

I really don't want this to turn into another 3 day cluster at the hospital. So far, I've kept water down and I have had some air move.

Please pray that I can pull through this on my own. ...and soon!

I think I'm out of the woods. I'm pretty sore from yesterday, but at least I had a couple bm's and that stabbing pain with vomiting has stopped.

Need to definitely talk to my surgeon. Last time, it was sweet corn. This time, my wife and I can't figure out why this happened again. I shouldn't be having weekly bowel obstructions.

What did help was the prayer. I even fell asleep praying.

No chemo today. They didn't think it would be safe because of the recent obstructions, and also chemo would yield different results for the obstruction testing I have to do this Friday.

They want me to have medical cannabis so I can be out without getting sick. (Since I won't tote around the buds I've been self medicating with) They brought it up and started the paperwork.

Sunday marked the first day my surgical wound healed. Like, no more packing or gauss over it. If you recall the horrific picture I posted earlier on the thread, that has all closed and scabbed over.

My stomach is a scarred up mess. My wife calls them my battle scars.

This round of chemo is hitting me hard. I fell asleep during the infusion and woke up feeling completely drained... like I almost needed a wheelchair to get to the vehicle to go home.

...and of course the steroids are keeping me awake now. At least they agreed to bump up my nausea medicine and give another infusion of them when I get this needle out of my chest on Wednesday.

I am SO thankful to God that you no longer have that wound anymore!!!  My goodness that looked miserable.  But they say chicks dig scars, so that's cool. 

I hope and pray that this chemo does its job and will soon no longer be necessary!

I think I could have an arm lopped off and my wife would find it hot. HAHA!!! Unfortunately, chemo is scheduled for the rest of the year so... I'm not getting any reprieve any time soon.

Man, I have felt like CRAP. Since the middle of the week, I've been sleeping most of the time - basically doing 2 3 hour naps during the day for the past several days... then this really strange awake feeling.

I feel like its starting to diminish now. I had to call off work this morning, but then again, I always call off work the weekend of my chemo infusion. It would be a record if I felt well enough to work tomorrow...

Sick again from chemo. At least I'm halfway done with my treatments.

I've felt amazingly rotten today. I called off work, I went back to sleep, slept until after 430pm...
...my hands have been killing me, and them aching kept me up most of last night. I've had them hurt before, on and off. I'm fortunate to not see symptoms involving loss of control.

My wife thinks we need to tell my oncologist to back off on the Oxyplatin, since that's the chemo that causes permanent nerve damage. I'd appreciate further prayers because of this and anxiety about tomorrows infusion...
