Narnia
I didn't find a topic for Narnia, so here we go.
Narnia is back! They are working with new material for a new release. Their Facebook page says 10/12/15:
"All songs are now recorded and Christian Liljegren finished half of the lyrics and vocal melodies for the upcoming album. Vocal recordings will happen late this year. We planned to have the new album out and be on tour again springtime 2016 where we as Narnia celebrate 20 years as a band. We are so excited to meet you all! The Lion is roaring!"
I read about their reunion at least a year ago, but didn't find out about new album until now. Anyone excited?
If I remember right, Christian left Narnia partly because he wanted to do more neoclassic / power metal stuff (Golden Resurrection). I wonder how will this new album sound like.

I never listened to Narnia much but I'm a huge fan of Golden Resurrection so I will at least check it out - thanks for the news!

Re: Narnia
I'd love to see an American tour with Narnia opening and Stryper as the headliner. Heck, let's throw Saint and Rob Rock in the mix, and I think I would have died and gone to metal heaven.

I have almost seen that! Last year I went to Germany and I saw Stryper and Rob Rock with three members of Narnia
I think metal heaven came on earth for a little while on that day

Re: Narnia
I never could get into Narnia. For whatever reason. I had all their albums. I tried. But alas ... I gave the albums away and decided I'm just not a fan. I think it's the vocals. Maybe the chemistry of the band. Oh well.
I thought they had broken up.

Great news. I was so lookibg forward to it, but I guessed we wouldn't hear such a good news so early.
Fyi, the real reason that lead to christian departure from Narnia was a turbulent period in his life. He was goin through a divorce at the time and he thought he could no longer be with Narnia. All the rest is just history. I have read it in a recent interview.

Re: Narnia
I will probably be in the minority on this but I would rather see German Pasqual on vocals. For some reason, CJ plays a little heavier when he's around.

I'm with metaldude, I like the album with German better. Had a grittier feel.

Re: Narnia
I am a huge fan of narnia's first five albums. they lost me with the last one. Don't get me wrong, German Pascual is a great singer and I can say it as I managed to see him playing live some years ago. Very talented guy, but he usually sings for modern metal bands and it doesn't make my boat float.

Ghost Town is so good. And I wasn’t a big Narnia fan to begin with.

I also grew up with Narnia books and movies, so this one has more emotional value than I thought.

Re: Narnia
I got into Narnia a couple of years ago and since then I got all their albums. I gone through one album and I need to go through the rest. I heard many of their songs. I have some of Christian's other projects as well.

Re: Narnia
I got four Narnia albums on vinyl. Long Live The King, S/T, From Darkness to Light and Ghost Town. Getting christian metal on vinyl is pretty difficult to find here in Finland, but hey – I got something!
