Picked it up for $3 today as well as Paramaecium's Echoes From the Ground for $4. Unexpected find for the little city of Yakima, Wa.

Is it called "God-Core Chronicles"?

If so I have the two-volume set.  They were songs from old REX Records releases nothing original but all OOP and sometimes hard to find.

If it's some other compilation then never mind.

I remember people saying there was a bit of " false " advertising because there really wasn't any " hardcore " bands on it ?

Six Feet Deep was pretty hardcore and The Lead was punk but other then that, it's a mix of metal.

They were easy to miss.  I'm not sure where/when/why/how I picked them up.  I think it may have been at a Christian bookstore.  Like sensient 6 said, the "core" name was confusing to all.  I DO remember core fans feeling cheated and metal fans passing over them for this reason.
