Need help identifying band called "Love"

Back in the very early 1980s, possibly 80, 81, or 82, I was attending Central Baptist Church in Aurora, CO. It was (and still is) a Southern Baptist Church.

I remember they were experimenting with "modern" forms of music and worship, and one specific Sunday night, I vaguely remember seeing a concert with my parents and sister there. I was very young, only 6-8 years old, so I remember very little. I think I even remember my parents taking us home because "rock music is of the devil" (you know the story!).

Anyways, I remember the drum had a band logo on the bass drum and it said "Love" on it.

Can anyone help me identify this band? Where they a national act, or possibly just local? Any clues will help!

I am going to have to say more local.  Unless their was a name change and an album released on a label, I would not say they were national.  Even signed bands often did not get to tour far from home back then.  Too many churches and Christians were on the "rock music is the devil" campaign.  How those bands and artists toughed it out is beyond me.  I thank the Lord that they did, however!

Like alldat said, the band was probably local. There's a psychadelic rock band called Love from California - probably not the same band.

Are you sure the band was called Love? Could be a lesser known brand of drums. That logo would be on the drum kick...
