Other Christian progressive power metal bands that don't begin with The and end with ocracy

So what other Christian progressive power metal bands out there are worth checking out besides Theocracy?

Not quite "Christian" per se, but definitely Christian overtones and fronted by a Christian ... the Lance King era of Balance of Power.

You HAVE to pick up:

ALL are phenomenal.

I am not into that style too much...
But I used to listen to DivineFire and you would probably like them.

What about Seventh Avenue?

Have you heard Faith Factor?  I thought they were amazing and there is some more progressive stuff at the end of their album.

Within Silence is quite good and relatively new on the scene.  They just released their debut album on Ulterium Records (same label as Theocracy).




Also from Slovakia is Signum Regis which is very good.  They just released a stellar EP:




Promise Land isn't so much power metal, but it is melodic, symphonic, and progressive:




Northern Flame released their debut album not all too long ago either:

Ectherion kinda fit into this category... I'm excited for everyone to hear their new album.

Faith Factor never did really grab me. But here are a few to check out that I dont already see mentioned:

Sad to see that it took 9 responses before Affector was mentioned. Probably the only band/album that can trump Theocracy for best Christian prog band.

Although they're more on the power metal side (although I've seen Signum Regis mentioned already, so its similar), but Teramaze hasn't been mentioned, and their last album was FANTASTIC.

Affector and Teramaze are prog, but no power - just saying.  The Tears to Dust release is probably closer to power though.

I don't think much "power" metal these days has really any power in it.  Or metal really.

A lot of "power metal" is closer to Journey than Black Sabbath.  Just weak and riffless.

I think ANTITHESIS did a great job of combining prog metal, power metal, and thrash but that's probably not what is being requested by this thread.

We need more bands like Antithesis. I like Theocracy a lot but i'm tired of the wimpy power metal. At least Helloween can be heavy at times.

While I love Theocracy, maybe I'm more of a power metal fan instead of a prog fan. To me some of the stuff posted above sounds like the musical equivalent of...



I like less fluff and more crunch to my music.

^ haha huge Seinfeld fan here. Even bigger prog fan though! Interesting. If you dig deep into prog than the above is still very much on the metal side of things. My favorite Theocracy songs are all the long and intricate ones, how about you?
