New Stryper Album!

There were comments in this thread by Michael and some of the others that were definitely worth reading...

You know, just because you CAN do something doesn't mean it is the RIGHT thing to do.

I agree with FOJ, if this isn't resolved, I won't be posting in here anymore.

You guys were asked to get back on topic, instead you all choose differently, the rules of the CMR are simple, you can opt to follow them or not, but WE -THE STAFF- are here to inforce them, like it or not

Deleting people's posts from a discussion that was not hostile is bull, no two ways about it.

If its selective like it appears in this instance, it seems like a abuse of your position. It would be an abuse if someone is showing favoritism to protect their " favorite " band from criticism or perceived negative posts.

.....just stating a general principle.

STRYPER it's not my favorite band, I like a different genre of music better. Don't let my avatar and rank fool you S6

Oh, and it is not the first time I have deleted thread/replies, in this case it was more obvious for the length of the OFF TOPICS replies!

Threads get off topic all the time (like now I guess), but this one was derailing. I don't know if the posts went into the big internet in the sky, but if not, maybe they can be moved to a new thread.

I got ya KK. I'm just sayin' whether its a favorite band or top 20 favorite band, what I mentioned would be abuse of that unique position. Plus I know posts have been deleted before, but it doesn't happen that often from what I could tell. And maybe all this is just coincidence.

You have seen the other threads were STRYPER has been criticized, scrutinized and whatnot here right? Did I protected "my favorite" band? Just saying.

So, isn't the deletion of responses and now the continued discussion about those deletions still off topic?  Shouldn't everything else be deleted?

As for the new Stryper disc, count me in, Michael!  You guys have shown that you are better than in your "heyday" with NMHTP.  I think that the new one will prove it.

I have a question, Gipperman.  Is there ANY chance whatsoever of you guys going in and redoing "Reborn".  All it needs is guitar solos to be accepted more like "Murder By Pride".  I don't care if it is just the original tracks with overdubs--that album needs that treatment to be more widely accepted by fans.  I love it as is, but I do think it would be better with more solos.  Or cowbell.  I have a fevah, and the prescription is....more cowbell.....or solos.

"Reborn Retread?"

This is probably off--topic and will get taken out, but I'm confused.
The topic of this thread is about the new STRYPER album. Within this thread a discussion was brought up about the validity of STRYPER covering a particular Van Halen song. I jumped into that discussion stating how I felt that the song had some moral value and implying that it thereby would be an appropriate song for STRYPER to play, even perhaps record for the NEW STRYPER ALBUM. I didn't say all of that in the post because I felt that the implication was clear in my reply to the topic. 
Most of my reply was deleted from the thread. I felt that I was totally on-topic, as the discussion was about STRYPER and music.
  This being one of my first posts to this forum, I am left wondering if posting any reply's to any topic at the CMR is a waste of time then.

You said it perfectly, the topic is about the new STRYPER album not about a video MS posted about them covering a VH song.

Everything not pertaining to the topic it's gone

It is up to you to decide if posting here it's a waste of time or not, just think when posting, about the rules of the forum, if you haven't read them, they are sticked on every forum on the CMR

Folks.....just give it a rest about the deletions and move on.  Does no one any good to re-hash it.......

Michael Sweet said that No More Hell To Pay would of been a follow up to To Hell With The Devil, or THWTD part 2. I wonder where does Fallen fit in in terms of its direction or sound. I could be wrong, but I thought he said somewhere that it was similar or within the realm of Soldier Under Command.  Either way, from what I heard so far it seems like it be really good.

Hopefully there will be a Japanese release of the album, since I collect Japanese CDs with OBI.
