Somewhere inside of me a beast lies dormant for awhile until something strikes me and it wakes up ready to devour. I was listening to the latest by Living Sacrifice lately when this happened and I started pulling out some of the old albums I haven't listened to in awhile. Ghost Thief is a terrific album and I highly reco it.
Anyone else and what are you listening to?

Ghost Thief is an awesome album. I think it kinda got lost a bit in the barrage of new albums in 2013.

I saw Living Sacrifice when Becoming The Archetype toured with them.  They were good, but their songs just didn't grip me; not my style I guess.

For extreme metal, I much prefer doom/death and black.  I don't listen to a whole ton of death metal and not really any metalcore at all.  As for death metal, I do really love Pantokrator and Becoming The Archetype though.

If you like the Ghost Thief LS sound, maybe try Thy Will Be Done.  Pretty strong stuff IMO.

Really enjoyed Omens by A Hill to Die Upon, need to check out the newest one.
How about Hope for the Dying? Sort of a BTA sound.

I've always thought Hope for the Dying was a bit more similar to Between the Buried and Me.

And I can't believe I forgot to list my buds in The Burial!!!!

Criminally overlooked release from Soul Embraced a couple years back.  I think it edges out LS-Ghost Thief.  Same style.

I'll say +1 that the Soul Embraced was excellent.

And there's new Sacrificium?  When did that happen?  Had it ever been mentioned?  That should be (kind of, at least) big news!

At least you have bugs!

Much of the albums in these lists have been acquired from my artwork and logo commission payments. I think 2 new Albums a month is a good way to digest, maybe?

Grindboy, yeah that Sacrificium did come out very quietly at the end of 2013 on Whirlwind Records. I did make a thread about it or posted in one elsewhere on the net, it was a late discovery for me too then. It's a great album.

I missed the Sacrificium for awhile when it came out too but it's very good.

Wow, really enjoyed that Hashem song. Free on their bandcamp page too.
