In Need Of Prayer/Support

Those of you who were around the former CMR home might recall my health problems and my requests for pray from time to time. For those of you who are not familiar with my struggles, I will give a brief history before getting into today's specific request.

In 2009 I was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), a terminal and progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. I also was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and Hypothyroidism. I also contracted Valley Fever (Coccidioidomycosis), which has came out of remission three times (each time requiring extended admission to a Hospital ICU).

Last week I was transported by ambulance to the emergency room due to severe abdominal/back pain. They were unable to give a positive diagnosis after two days of tests and sent me home with a bottle of painkillers (mind you, the medication might as well have been sugar pills as they did not provide any relief). This week I visited my primary care physician in an effort to gain a diagnosis and treatment. The imaging tests revealed several bundles of crushed nerves at the lumbar spine. However, during those tests, the doctor also discovered a problem with my heart.

I am currently bed-bound due to the pain AND a potentially life threatening (as if I needed another one) condition with my heart. I am to return to my primary care physician early this next week for further evaluation and probable re-admittance to the hospital. There is a significant chance that I will also be requiring surgeries to fix both complications.
