Messianic - 39 Stripes -- really great mix of groove/thrash/death/prog

Somebody else mentioned these guys and I checked them out.  Just came out 8 days ago.  It's really interesting stuff.  Says influenced by Prong, Slayer, Sepultura, Pantera, Deftones.  I don't really hear any of those bands in their sound, as it's pretty unique, but I do love all those bands and I also love this.  You might too.

Musically I like it, not sure about the vocals.

This is currently in a 3 way tie for AotY for me

They certainly have plenty of variety in their song styles.  
To me that is a good thing.

Just started the first song. I really like it. Vocals are way to quiet though

Listen to the whole album.  I wasn't too sure at first, but the more I listened the more it sunk in and by the time the album was over I was all in.  It's a great album, very unique!

I listened to a podcast with the songwriter and guitarist, and he hired all the other players on Fiverr.  From all different countries.  That's the first time I've heard of someone doing that, and getting a great album from it.  Very interesting.

What was the podcast?

It's called All Music Matters N'At.  I found it on Spotify.  The host is not great, and they talk more about other random things than music, but there you go.
