Any Midnight Oil Fans?
I got into these guys with Diesel and Dust, which is a phenomenal album. I also really dig Blue Sky Mining.

They're pretty good. They came out of the New Wave era and were similar to bands like U2, The Alarm, Simple Minds, The Waterboys, The Dream Academy, etc. - but more anthemic in nature and with a Celtic feel to the music.
Have not heard much of their stuff but what I've heard is interesting.

I know “Beds Are Burning”.
Not bad Aussie rock. The vocals are unusual though…

Speaking of Aussie alternative rock…
I think Crowded House is more to my liking. I have been a casual INXS fan for most of my life.

Crowded House is excellent, although poppier overall than MO. Woodface is a fantastic album.

Well, the vocals from Midnight Oil kept them from being too poppy. His voice is very unusual… kinda like John Lydon aka Johnny Rotten. I guess it’s the tone and strange way of singing.
He also had a strange Pee-wee Herman way of dancing! LOL

They were my introduction to climate alarmism. I had a friend who was big into them and they write good songs, but he was a big environmentalist which wasn't a bad thing back then. I don't know where he stands now, but the green movement is out of control.

There was nothing wrong with trying to keep the world cleaner and less polluted back in the early days of environmental awareness. But the current version is a NWO sham to help convert the world to a digital system and complete government control tyranny.
There is also a lot of false information and exaggerated studies fooling the people. There is machines that exist that manipulate the weather!
Pollution is bad for our air quality, but these machines that alter the weather are the reason for a lot of the crazy stuff going on.
Look into HAARP and the CERN - Large Hadron Collider.
Of course the mainstream media is told to label any negative talk about these things a “conspiracy theory”.

I absolutely think there needs to be better environmental policy, but unfortunately the extremists on either side are by far the loudest. On the one hand you have people like AOC saying we have to stop eating meat and driving or the world will end in the next decade, on the other hand you have people claiming any environmental protections are socialism or something. And imo the huge focus on climate has led to the neglect of other important environmental issues that need to be addressed, like habitat destruction and plastic pollution
