Fun fact - effects master, Tom Savini, who came up with the 'final scare' idea in the original Friday was adamantly dead set against sequels because the ending was "just a dream." There was no real Jason in his concept. He refused to work on the special effects on any of the sequels, but when he saw how successful they were, he changed his stance and worked on part IV.
