Deliverance vs Metallica, album by album

That’s a fair point. I typically put lyrics below music when it comes to listening preference, but I still try to take them into consideration.

I haven't listened to any Deliverance past WAJ so, here we go!
KEA vs. D
D. 0 - 1

RTL vs. WOOW
Tie. 1 - 2

MOP vs. WAJ
MOP easy. 2 - 2

All the rest Metallica 10 - 2 or 9 - 1 (I added a point to each band for the tie)

For me it can be hard to differentiate because great music makes good lyrics hit harder, and great lyrics give meaning to the music. Imo music matters the most until it gets the highest stuff (~9.5/10). Idc how good the music is, if the lyrics have no meaning you aren't getting a 10/10

So... most pop! But I agree. The only time I wouldn't agree is anything Satanic, Ghost, Mayhem etc. Their lyrics have meaning... don't mean it's good. There's non-satanic stuff that has meaning but is still bad but Satanism is the big thing.

True, I meant lyrics with a good meaning lol.
But yeah, bad lyrics will bring a song down. Otherwise Slayer might be a top 10 band for me.

Exactly. Slayer musically are pretty good, but lyrically they absolutely suck.
