It might have set them in a bad direction, but it's a great album on it's own.

L and RL aren't bad. (there is specific bad songs though, especially Slither)

I don't know about way below average. It's just not the thrash and heavy metal they'd been doing. If Soundgarden had released a thrash album after Superunknown us here would love it, SG fans would probably hate it. So it's just because they started as thrash and went to that.

Fortnite is adding a song about racist killing with tons of f-bombs? Bruh

There is an edited version they play on the radio that leaves off the ending part with the f bombs. Doesn’t change the race-baiting message of the song though, not appropriate for a kids game imo

If Soundgarden had gone from boring grunge to thrash is different than Metallica going from a great thrash band to mediocre whatever the Loads are.

RATM is awesome! Musically at least lol. Tom Morello is an amazing guitarist. 
The Killers - Hot Fuss, The best Indie/Alt album ever.

Morelloo is a commie and isn't really that special on guitar.

Name one other person that plays like that, that's not a Tom copy. And he writes great riffs. Sleep Now In The Fire, Testify, Freedom, Killing In The Name. I very rarely listen to RATM though. 95% of their lyrics are garbage. "F*** the government", that's most of their songs lol.

No one plays like that because it's simple staccato riffs.
