It's been such a good year metal wise I kinda forget about this one. They still bring it for old guys.

I’ve been there several times. New Jersey is definitely not Christian.Kerrick wrote:Machine Fish wrote:Norma Jean "Deathrattle Sing for Me"

Oh, you mean Norma Jean.

I'm not entirely sure if they are any more... I know they're still on Solid State Records, but it seems to me that label is more and more comprised of "Christians in a Band" groups that have up to interpretation lyrics.Kerrick wrote:Machine Fish wrote:Norma Jean "Deathrattle Sing for Me"

This album had a lot of poetic lyrics on it, which seems like you'd really need to dig for interpretation.

DAVID LEE ROTH has recorded new versions of Van Halen classics plus some new original songs. Among these, Diamond Dave has done fresh takes on ‘Everybody Wants Some!!’, ‘You Really Got Me’, the song originally recorded by The Kinks that Van Halen covered on its 1978 debut, ‘Dance The Night Away’, ‘Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love’, and ‘Panama’.
All these tracks are part of the recording session at Henson Studios in Hollywood where Roth and his solo band recorded “live into the studio” in May 2022. Roth’s band include Al Estrada on guitar, Ryan Wheeler on bass and Francis Valentino on drums. The songs were produced by Tom Syrowski.
Roth also released some originals, ‘Pointing at the Moon,’ a piano/acoustic guitar ballad, and ‘Nothing Could Have Stopped Us Back Then Anyway’, a very nice song about his former band, early Van Halen days. These two songs stem from a 2007 recording session with guitarist and bassist John 5, drummer Greg Bissonette, keyboardist Brett Tiggle and percussionist Luis Conte.
Diamond Dave – vocals
Al Estrada – guitar
Ryan Wheeler – bass
Francis Valentino – drums
Brett Tiggle – keyboards
Luis Conte – percussion
John 5 – guitars, bass
Greg Bissonette – drums

Makes me laugh every time, including at the end when they change the lyrics and scream, “I’m never gonna mosh again!”Black Rider wrote:Their version of Careless Whisper is pretty funny.

Kind of a super group with Greg Christian and a guy from Annihilator and a guy from Malevolent Creation.

This could possibly go in the Christian section but either way, it's some very good stuff!
