Thrashiest Song From A Non-Thrash Band
I have quite a few of these.
Stir The Embers, Laying The Demon To Rest, Paper Tiger, Nailed and others by Theocracy. They have a lot of Thrash influence, prob why I like them so much more than other Power Metal bands.
Defector by Petra. Probably my top pick because Petra isn't even metal(minus J&H) but this is their second heaviest album.

On Fire is one of their best albums. Mine Field is IMO their best song. I was also going to say LtDtR.Christian Thrash Rules wrote:I have quite a few of these.

Also BYOB by System of a Down has a rather thrashy riff

Secular yes. Overall I'd say P.O.D. is tied with SOADStevenCressler wrote:Best nu-metal band imo.Christian Thrash Rules wrote:True. ^ Especially the Impellitteri cover, which imo blows the original out of the water

This demo version is uptempo and very heavy. If Symptom of the Universe qualifies, I’ll submit this.

Mainly considered an aggressive groove metal band… “Heresy” by Pantera is a genuine thrash song.

From Christian metal Cultic Regimes by Barren Cross is a good example.
Take It to the Cross by Stryper has some thrash influence too.
Outside of Christian metal, hmmm....
Painkiller, Burn in Hell and Bullet Train are probably the thrashiest songs of Judas Priest.
The Triumph of Steel is Manowar's thrashiest album. Not that it has that much of thrash in it but several songs have some thrashy moments in them.
Roses on White Lace by is probably the most "metal" song of Alice Cooper. It has double bass and all, and maybe a hint of thrashy influence somewhere.
Slave to the Grind by Skid Row. I'm stretching it quite a bit here, but it has a certain aggressiveness that tickles my thrash loving bones and it's probably the most "metal" song Skid Row has ever made.
American Badass by Kid Rock has the riff from Metallica's Sad But True going on through the song, which technically is more like groove metal, but it has a 20 seconds long fast thrash part right after the middle of the song.
Somewhere Out in Space by Gamma Ray has a few thrash influenced moments.
Sacrifice by Motörhead.

Galactic Cowboys have a lot.
Chariot Song is another by King's X that has thrashy moments.

GC have a lot of songs with elements or short bursts of thrash… but I was looking for some that are thrashy all the way through.

I love when bands do something bent more toward this end of the spectrum.

Annihilator did a cover of this. It is one of the best aggressive VH songs.
