I enjoyed the Hobbit movies but view them more as inspired by the Hobbit.

Re: TV and Movies Hot Takes
Speaking of Ghostbusters, the Real Ghostbusters cartoon is superior to the films (and in the GB lore, the cartoon show is actually the "true" canon, with the live action movies just being retellings of the events).
EDIT: And on that note: Beetlejuice the cartoon>Beetlejuice the movie

Here's one: (Sorry Pethead! ) Who cares if Die Hard is a "Christmas movie"? And for that matter, who are all the folks who insist that it is arguing against?

We’re arguing against people such as yourself who erroneously argue the status of Die Hard vis a vis Christmas films to be adiaphora.
I’m also arguing against most of my in-laws who deny its holiday status.

Hahaha fair enough. I'm going to start a movement that Die Hard is actually a Thanksgiving movie then. Ha!

It's a movie that takes place at Christmas. It's not a Christmas movie.

Die Hard is as much a Christmas movie as It’s a Wonderful Life:

It’s goofy and far from being high art, but it’s fun and surprisingly sweet-natured.Kerrick wrote:I never saw that one. Is it any good?

Right on.
Another hot take: I thought Southland Tales was amazing.

I’ll do another one:
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Once upon a Time, including season 7.

The Star Wars prequels are near the same level as the originals, and Revenge of the Sith is the best out of all six.
