Not familiar with Type 0 negative or Misfits, but my favorite Christian goth rock/metal bands are Savior Machine and Dividing Line, the latter of which is very unknown/underrated

I never listened to Type O Negative, though I've heard Kohllapse compare to them before.  I really dig both of Kohllapse's albums - which got re-released not too long ago and are now easier to come across!

Some of the early Randy Rose albums have a dark Danzig feel. 

It’s not punk like the Misfits, but there is a goth element.

Try former Seventh Angel member Ian Arkley’s goth influenced metal bands. Ashen Mortality and My Silent Wake. He also incorporates medieval folk music too.

These bands are “Christian friendly”.
