Supposedly they're going in a more progressive metal direction, so I think the keyboards will probably be used more in that vein. 

I just hope it's got more in common with a 70s Priest-style progressive as opposed to a Nostradamus-style progressive (even though I don't hate that album as a lot of others seem to).

I just hope that if it's more proggy, we dont see endless spoken word segments or songs where the instrumental parts take precedent over the vocal parts.

Would not surprise me if they lean heavily into the power metal genre which is very strong right now unfortunately...we need some gatekeepers in the metal world before it becomes nothing more than slightly beefed up pop...but I could be wrong!!!

The Panic Attack song is sounding better the more times I hear it. It’s actually getting some radio airplay.

The most amazing thing is that Halford still sounds great!

The last two albums are tops in my opinion. The first single is not catching with me tho. It might be the proggy sounding intro that I don't like. Interestingly I was playing it, and my wife was like "Who's this? I like this." and she hates Rob Halford's singing.

The intro is kinda weak but it's better after that. Hopefully there's not much of that on the album.

The new album is a banger! The first three songs are all scorchers. After that the album slows down a little bit, but it’s still plenty heavy. It’s absolutely incredible to me that Rob Halford can still sing like this at his age.

The last song on the deluxe edition - “The Lodger” - has a big Queen influenced sound. The guitars sound very much like Brian May, and the big choral arrangement on the chorus sounds just like something Freddie Mercury would’ve done.
