New Dokken song

Don obviously can't sing like he used to but with his health issues I can be forgiving. Levin sounds great though so I hope the album is good.

Sounds good to me  

The music sounds killer, but the lyrics are far too repetitive.  I get this feeling he is a fugitive from life.  He repeats that in the choruses and verses.  The band sound great, but the lyrics ruin this one.

I mean, it's Dokken.

Yeah never been a fan of Dokken for their really in depth lyrics....... lol
But really do enjoy the new song, he can't sing the same but yeah its been 40 years, so it sounds pretty darn good for what it is!

In defense of Dokken’s lyrics, I’ve always appreciated how they tend to steer clear of the puerile themes similar bands love.

I watched the video a few weeks ago and it is a really good song musically.
Everything Jon Levin has done with the band has been stellar, and live he is more consistent than Lynch has been for years.

But I had to laugh watching a guy who's reportedly worth $10M repeating over and over that he's "a fugitive from life."  
LOL, sorry but give me a break!   

People are feeling disconnected with the way the world is going. Not sure what money has to do with it?

I'm sure most of the elites who are running things into the ground are not feeling disconnected based on how the world is going.  I'm not saying that's Don, but I do say that he has good reasons to be thankful he's not in the same boat economically as many of us are.

I dig it.  I'm not expecting Don to sing like he did in the 80's (dude is 70 years old), but overall I thought it was a pretty cool Dokken tune.

This is what is needs happen:

The original guys in Dokken need to take over the band with the rights to the name and get a Don sound-a-like doing the same thing that Queensryche did with Todd Latorre. Then make the heavier albums that they always wanted to do.  Michael Wagner should produce since he brings out the best in George Lynch and seems to keep him focused.

Don needs to go out as Don Dokken and release sequels to his solo album with John Norum on guitar plus another guy (maybe this Levine guy).
