Favorite third thrash album?

This one narrows the field a bit, as so many great thrash bands stopped at 2. 

My pick is Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance, easily. You?

POD and it's not close.

Believer: Dimensions 
Mosh-Pit Justice: Stop Believing Lies
Vengeance Rising: Destruction Comes
Deliverance: What a Joke

That MPJ is okay, they really improved on the next one.

If The Crucified had made a third album, it would be it.

Jk, POD by a country mile. Destruction Comes was great but I can‘t list it as it was not the same band as HS and OD.

With the majority, POD. I'm not that big of a TqT fan, but it's my favorite from them, and Deliverance/VR/Believer dropped off, Betrayal/Crucified/Sacrament didn't show up. . . I mean, I really do like The Dust of Years, but that hardly even seems like it's in the same discussion.

Tourniquet - POD by far…

Extol Synergy for me.

I know its not straight up thrash but it was a departure from their previous sound and falls more into Thrash than technical death metal.

If not that than I would have to pick What a Joke since I'm not a Tourniquet fan.

As good as POD is, I'm surprised there are no votes for Dimensions yet. I'd put that in second place, personally.

I'm having a hard time coming up with the third album from all the bands I love, much less only thrash bands.

POD is mine as well; It may be my number 1 Christian metal album of all time.

Well, Honestly, considering it's not thrash, that'd be against the law. And I'm just not that kind of guy, to break the law.  But, I'll be holding on for the best Metal albums of all time. That's for sure, and you know who that'll be, the writing's on the wall.

If “What A Joke” didn’t have filler, I’d vote for that!

Like most of us, Pathogenic is a no-brainer.  I didn't even comment on the "sophmore" thread because the decision is too tough.

I have listened to Believer Dimensions dozens of times these past weeks and it‘s starting to finally grow on me. Trilogy is a masterpiece. However, I still like Extraction and Sanity more, they are just more accessible, may I use the word catchy? Dimensions is more demanding and you have to spend time with it, undoubtedly a great album but it feels somehow unfinished/incoherent with six songs of a similar style and then the monolithic trilogy which is a thing of it‘s own. Maybe the should have put out the Trilogy as an EP and written two or three mor „regular“ songs for to go with the other six for the third album. Just rambling, thx for reading.

I never could get into Dimensions. 

I remember Heaven’s Metal magazine had an article and interview with Kurt Bachman (and if I remember correctly) he said that he actually “rolled dice” for selecting some of the notes of the music. It’s just too avant-garde and weird for me.

Believer was one of those bands that were obsessed with being different and evolving. If you over complicate something, it just becomes math. Even a band like Rush knew that they needed to anchor their songs with a hook or melody.
