I dunno, I think the first one has a Criterion Collection release even. IIRC it was a metaphor for the nuke and has some artistic value. It's been sooooo long since I've seen it that I couldn't back up that claim any though!

LOL it's deserved. Though that's not *actually* my favorite Godzilla flick - not that I have one anyways haha. It's probably been 25 years since I last saw one. I have fond memories though of watching "Monster Vision" on TNT (anyone remember that?) as a kid with my dad and sister. They'd play all the old Godzilla movies, Swamp Thing, etc.

This...is weird. It's like synthwave with black metal screams over it. Odd. But I like it.

Cemetary - An Evil Shade of Grey/Godless Beauty
Tiamat - Clouds/The Astral Sleep/Wildhoney
Lake of Tears - A Greater Art/Headstones
Agreed. I only wish they had better lyrics! But speaking of 90's Scandinavian masterpieces, I'm currently listening to:
The 3rd And The Mortal - Painting on glass
I find Lake of Tears to be pretty palatable. First two Cemetary albums ain't bad either. I talked to the guy in Cemetary about the logo and we had a good conversation where he was very respectful of my Christian beliefs. Tiamat certainly has some bad stuff (their later goth rock era actually seems worse). However, I did read a couple of interviews from 2016 where Johan Edlund said that he is a Christian. That shifted my perspective on some things. Let us pray that he still is.

Right on. I was thinking more in general of that scene. I actually haven't looked into Lake Of Tears or Cemetery at all. That's very interesting about Tiamat! I remember reading their lyrics a long time ago and being put off by some things but really digging their music. I'll have to revisit them then; thanks for the info

Great album. I can’t decide if that or TGRC is my favorite from them. Their first 4 are all excellent, though.

Nazareth—‘Hair of the Dog’ 30th Anniversary Edition Half of the album is bonus tracks. I'm still trying to figure out why this 2001 re-release is called the 30th Anniversary edition???
