Jesus Lean Empty Jesus Lean

I just stumbled across this video. It's one of the greatest things I've ever seen, and I'm sure some of you will agree. Give it a real shot, don't pull the plug too soon or you'll miss the greatness. I'm not saying it's a "great song" in any sense (although, I have to admit that my introduction to B-Shoc, "Jesus Jump," is an insidiously stupid but very fun song), but I'm saying that is is just. . . I mean, give it a watch, and tell me if you don't at least smile:

I really tried, made it halfway through the song. But I cringed too much. Not saying that it's bad, just not my style.

Oh yeah, it made me smile (and chuckle a few times).
I gotta figure out that mad lyric where he says "Kick the Devil in the Doof"
Or is it "toof"?  Laughing

It's not my style either, and I'm not going to call it good or "bad," musically. To me, at least, that's not at all the point. And as one who also does music, I would HATE for anybody to see/hear mine and compare it to Nile or Sympathy and say it's bad. Of course they'd be correct, but I know I'm very far from world-class. . . but still think that I CAN offer some level of entertainment and personality. I feel like this guy, and especially this video is a kindred spirit (although he has SOME stuff that seems a little more serious, and I think he's more serious musically than I am, but still pretty kindred).

So it's the combination of the guy putting his best musical foot forward, but with what has to be somewhat tongue-in-cheeck lyrics (Staybrite: "toof," definitly "kick the Devil in the toof") and the video which brings together. . . trying your best but glorying in the foolishness. His mom (presumably) cooking hamburger, riding the mower left and right, the (presumably) youth group kids trying their best and also trying and failing to not laugh, the little boy literally just standng in front like the kid at the Christmas program who didn't come to any of the pracitices while the others lean behind him, his grandparents (presumably) riding in the tricked out car. . . to me, it's all just so perfect. I'm in awe and total admiration.

Glad you liked it, Staybrite, sorry that the rest of you didn't. It's cool, thanks for giving it a shot. It sure makes me wife and me laugh!
