Interesting story from the youtube comments where Im listening:

"Ah, the memories. I played the bass guitar on that recording. It was a cold, finger-freezing, winter. We wanted to do it as "professionally" as possible and did single-track recordings on ADAT, in our practice room, one noise-isolated half of an old wooden shed. The only time all members were together while playing was when we recorded the drums. To give the drums more "kick" it was decided to use synthetic bass kicks, triggered by an Atari. During fast double-bass sections it sounds rather erratic because the computer couldn't register all drum beats. Nowadays I would record the whole thing live. Given that we had rented some good equipment at the time, we should have done that, too."

My CD of Allos - Spiritual Battle just arrived yesterday.  I finished listening to it once-through this morning and will queue it up again soon.    What a great album.

Ha fair enough!  I bought it having only heard that one single they posted on youtube but I'll be sure to post my thoughts once I'm able to give it a fair listen.

I didn't know them back in the day.   I didn't listen to much Christian metal at that time.  Definitely not demo tapes of Christian metal bands.

I got called into a meeting so I had to pause but I'm a little past halfway through and absolutely loving it.  Per the thread about the last album(s) that "wowed" you, not many hold that title but this most certainly does - in spades.  There's something about it that I just immediately click with.  It's dark, moody, introspective, melodic, creative, and quite unique.  I love it!
