I also think F&J are underrated. I think the problem is, they're hard to pigeonhole sound wise.

True.

They've played Speed, Thrash, USPM, Groove, and even some fairly progressive stuff.

Can't really think of a band that's mixed all of that up in the same manner.

Maybe Death Angel?

Overkill's always had at least a touch of traditional and USPM in their sound. To varying degrees by album of course. Sometimes they sound like a much more aggressive version of Udo-era Accept. Blitz is quite a fan of Udo and Accept, so that makes sense.

I really like about half the album: Bad Attitude, The Unwritten Law, Call of the Wild, Mad Dog, The Spanish Archer, and Dead or Alive. Mad Dog is one of my top DP tracks. The rest I usually skip. But I love pretty much any Mark 2 or 3 DP.
