Countdown to Extinction - 30 years.
Megadeth's Countdown to Extinction released 30 years ago on July 14, 1992.
This album was my introduction to Megadeth, and probably still remains my overall favourite album (even though the production is too pristine and there's 2 or 3 skip buttons on the album).

I might put it second, but nothing tops RiP for me.

It's probably one of those nostalgia things for me...There's definitely days I'd put RiP above CtE, and there's plenty of songs that vie for my favourite songs with Countdown to Extinction, Symphony of Destruction and Ashes in Your Mouth.
When I discovered Megadeth and CtE in my early 20s, we put together a small band and added the song Countdown to Extinction to our repetoire. We thought we were so awesome b/c we could play the harmonized solo, which is probably the easiest MEgadeth solo to learn!!

Countdown is my favorite Megadeth album. Rust In Peace is a close second.
RIP was their tech/prog/speed masterpiece.
CTE, being a transition album, still retained the "bite" of their earlier stuff, while refining and reinventing their songwriting approach. Kind of like Metallica's black album, Deliverance SOE, Anthrax SOWN, Annihilator STWOF, etc.
