New Applehead album in the works!!!

He seems like a cool/lighthearted dude!

He’s a super talented dude. He and Jim Chaffin were the metal guys in the Crucified. As far as I’m concerned, this will be the “new and improved” Applehead!

Will be interested to hear the finished album. I hope it has something of the past sound! Heres a cool recent interview that features samples of new songs at the end.

Wow, I haven't been on here in months and see that Applehead and Becoming the Archetype both have new albums in the works. Oh Happy Day!

Any updates on the new Applehead album?

I have check Greg Minier's Facebook page.  It seems he is working on adding parts to an Applehead demo and adding bass to the Minier album for Roxx.  I don't know what is coming first.

That’s weird…

He previously said he didn’t want to add bass for his classic “Minier” EP (if that’s what your referring to). I guess Roxx convinced him to do it for a special gold disc edition. 

Could you take a screenshot of that info and post it here? I’m not on Facebook so I can’t see his news. Also, I want to make sure I am not misunderstanding the info. 

*side note*
I noticed on his Facebook homepage that he moved to Tennessee. I never thought he’d ever leave Fresno, but I’m not too shocked (considering the insane taxes, leftwing liberal voting and tyrant Governor). Lots of people are moving to Tennessee. Dave Mustaine and many others say Nashville is a great place for musicians.

Love me some Crucified, that Minier solo album was outstanding. Did not care for the Applehead, too grungy for my refined metal tastes. I'm assuming the new Applehead album will be similar to the first. Will reserve judgment until the album is released. This coming from a guy who pre-orders everything.

Actually, the new Applehead is said to be more metal. There’s a sample somewhere.

Anyone know why he changed his performing name from Minier to Applehead? I had assumed it was to reflect the drastic change in genre from his thrash first solo album to the second non-thrash album. But, as he is changing styles again and not reverting back to Minier or choosing a third name, it appears my assumption was faulty.

Wow that preview on Facebook sounds great. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this.

It's interesting in the interview i posted above, Greg said he wrote the Applehead music before Grunge was even a thing. Six feet under influenced by Danzig, Sot influenced by industrial. And so on with all the other songs influences, except the title track, Meaning that he wrote in the studio.

Honestly, Greg is one of the most talented musicians I’ve heard. He can play all the instruments, and his vocals are really good too!

I love how enthusiastic Greg is with his new music. There was a time he was not interested in heavy music anymore… I’m glad he’s back and loving it again!

Applehead's CD comes out on Friday!  He did a video recently playing a little bit of each song..  It sounds great!
