I found an album that wowed me in a genre that never does. Not sure why it really grabbed me but...

Ocean Dark - Hope & Chaos

Groove/Hard Rock/Heavy Metal and a hint of AOR with a modern touch. Lyrics are a little esoteric but some songs seem pretty straight forward. Ive played this album and their debut Voice to the Nations over and over since yesterday.From their facebook page "The music has gotten heavier and darker, yet there’s a glimpse of light and hope in the lyrics. Ocean Dark is a combination of melodic Pop Metal and Northern catchy melodies."

That I'm not certain but reading the lyrics on a lot of songs, I would say its a Christian view. Also the bassist was in the Christian band HB for a short while.

I don't have a Facebook account to ask but, I hesitate to put labels out there even though I know this is the Christian forum

Nothing offensive, mostly positive, but nothing I would consider praise worthy.

Theives & Liars "American Rock n Roll" nice slab of Rock with plenty of bluesy licks.
