EXORTTA - Gothic / Atmospheric Unblack band
Has anyone heard Exortta? They are from Brazil.
Wow, they really do that gothic / atmospheric unblack / doom thing with a lot of conviction and credibility.
I had them bookmarked in Spotify but never really paid attention until today.
What I also like about them is that they pay attention to texture, pacing, and melody and their music is diverse and does not just blend together into a wall of harsh noise.
And they have a combo of female / male vocals which is a huge plus.
I do wish they had better production, it would help them sound more clear and expansive.
But for an indie it is not bad.

Yes, Tempus is one of my favorite recent Unblack albums.

I listened to their 1st album today too. I'd have to say that Tempus is a much better album.

They're recording a double album to a 2022 release maybe. One disc more doom and other more black metal

Tempus was a fantastic album, one of my favorites from last year. I really tried to work it over in GarageBand to fix the sound and got it sounding much better but there really was only so much I could do. They definitely went with a more blackened version of Moonspell's classic material.

When I clicked on the second video I was expecting to see a guy in black and white makeup. I really like these two songs. I want to hear more from this band.

Yeah, I was quite taken by the Tempus album. Honestly though I didn't think the 1st album was in the same league, so anyone thinking about that one might want to check it out first before plunking down any cash.
