Top 10 Thrash Albums (Christian)

Sword of Judgement would have been something special if they continued.

I like all these albums (and bands) pretty much equally:

Living Sacrifice — s/t
Detritus — Perpetual Defiance
Vengeance Rising — Once Dead
Tourniquet — Stop the Bleeding
The Crucified — Pillars of Humanity
Believer — Sanity Obscure
Seventh Angel — The Torment
Betrayal — Renaissance by Death
Martyr — Wickenstraut
Ultimatum — Into the Pit

Any of the early thrash albums by the bands above could have made the list but I only included 1 from each band so it would be more diverse.

The only album I've heard in recent years that would almost make the list is Brotality--Worldwide Devastation.  The music is great and unique.  If it wasn't for the dumb band name, I could put them on the list in place of Martyr or Ultimatum.

1. Human Sacrifice - Vengeance Rising
This is an incredible album, the guitar solos are amazing. People complain about the vocals but I really like them actually.

2. Deliverance - Deliverance
Most people would choose Weapons Of Our Warfare, I think the two albums are equally as good but I put Deliverance over Weapons.

3. Where Moth And Rust Destroy - Tourniquet
Very underrated album. Marty Friedman is amazing on this.

4. Albus Mendacium - Ritual Servant
A much newer album compared to the rest and Ritual Servant nailed it. 

5. Sanity Obscure - Believer
Most people would probably choose the debut but this is my personal favorite Believer album.

6. Haunts Of Violence - Sacrament
Again, most people would choose the debut but I like this one quite a bit better for some reason.

7. Silence Is Madness - Bride
Most people would argue that Bride isn't Thrash but I think this album is close enough to be considered Thrash.

8. Master Of Space And Time - Mad Dragzter
Most people have probably never heard of Mad Dragzter but they're pretty good. Weird guitar tone though.

9. The Crucified - The Crucified
This album is Crossover Thrash and it's the first time I've ever heard it, and it's really cool.

10. Once Dead - Vengeance Rising
I tried to avoid putting two albums from the same band but I had to. This is a great album and the last good Vengeance Rising album in my opinion.

Honorable Mentions:

Living Sacrifice - Living Sacrifice
I wish they kept this sound longer.

Mortification - Mortification
Really good, but more Death than Thrash.

Stryper - No More Hell To Pay
Not Thrash but a freaking amazing Christian NWOBHMish album.

Is it the vocals? When I bought STB, in 1990, during the buy-everyting-if-it's-Christian phase. I abhored it...because of the vocals. The vocals were all I could hear...

Over time I came to love the record and, though they still wouldn't be my first pick, even the vocals.
To this day it is easily in my top 10 all-time, probably top 5...

Yeah 100% the vocals. If I could turn them into instrumental albums I would and listen non stop.

You should try MVoaTR. It's very different but very creative. Especially the song The Tomb of Gilgamesh.

I played the heck out of that cd when it came out…still love it to this day. Brilliant.

I've tried every TQT album and the band as a whole is just not for me. Cant do any of their stuff.
